If my student loan is in deferrment status?
Can I still qualify for a home loan if all of my other credit is paid off and I have a good credit score? Or will they force me to pay of my student loan before getting a loan?? The balance on the student loan is about $5,200.

No, they will not make you pay off your student loan, but you will need to get verification of what the projected monthly payment will be when it comes out of deferment. That amount will be added to your liabilities to verify you still fall into acceptable debt to income ratios.

Nan is correct but some lenders will not count that debt if you can proove your student loans will be deferred for at least another 12 months.
