When you do a 'search' all you are doing is asking the search engine to check it's own index (they do not share results) so you need to understand how the search engines 'index' (or 'spider') web sites ... Google has some very good 'webmaster help' pages = go read them & maybe they will help you work out what's causing your pages to be difficult to find / index ..
