Question

how much should i charge my friend to move in one of my spare rooms? it'll include all the bills included sky?

how much should i charge my friend to move in one of my spare rooms? it'll include all the bills included sky downstairs, and internet, also we're on a water meter so that bill mite go up quite a bit as we hardly use any and i obviously wouldn't restrict her on how much she could use. I live in Liverpool by the way :) I was thinking around £250 a month

I am thinking that is fair 250.00 are 200.00. I would add up all your bills and figure about half for your friend. If you have someone else living there then I would split everything 3 ways. I wish you all the luck and hope it all works out for you.

£250 is a good price. if you rent a room in most houses it would be about £250 without bills. Sounds a fair deal to me

I don't know what market rates are in your area, but if it is like an average US city £250 (416 USD) is about right for a room with amenities.

how many people are living in the house? you have to decide what one bedroom out of all the BR's available is worth and the person should pay close to an equitable share of all utilities - if 3 adults including the new guy, the new guy should pay at least 25% of the utilities, whether you just include an average of the actual costs in the rent price or you actually give him a bill every month for 1/4 or whatever % of the actual utilities, cable TV, internet access, whatever
