There are no laws governing what has to be in a UK business plan. However, there are templates that show you the key things that are expected to be in them. Either ask one of the banks for their start up packs, where they usually have a business plan format included, or contact your local Business Link. They are very good for free help and advice and have templates for business plans. The basics that you need are how you've reached the point you're at, what you're going to do, how much it's going to cost, who you're doing it for, how you'll reach them and how much money you'll make doing it. It helps to include things about competitors and, if you're applying for funding, how you'll repay the investor. Good luck!
