Question
Last time to move out?
If someone would move out, what exact time would be the legal time to move out. For instance, if I pay my rent until end of the month, when time do I have to be out? On the 11:59 p.m on 31st or I have time until 11:59 A.m on 1st of next month?

Move-in and move-out includes time for you and your landlord to do a walk through of the apartment. So, it you wait until 1 second before the stroke of midnight, you can be charged for an additional month's rent to accommodate the walk through. However, you have to consider noise ordinances. If you are moving out (especially of an apartment) and are making a disturbance, the neighbors can call the police and put a stop to your moving. By the way, 11:59 am is 1 minute before noon.

you probably have to turn your keys in during the business day on the 31st...although they might let you drop them in the mailbox at the door...you'd have to ask them

Legally it is by midnight on the last day of the month. But it is best not to wait till the last possible minute.

You have till the end of the day at the end of the month. If you go over that you are doing something called "Holding Over" even if no one will occupy the rental till office hours the following day.
